Getting back in shape after giving birth is critical for you and your baby's health, but most workout clothing doesn't accommodate nursing mothers' unique needs. La Leche League International (LLLI), the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting breastfeeding around the world, has partnered with Q-T Intimates to develop just this with its Pull Over Sport Bra.
The bra offers the right amount of support during workouts and features a pullover style just like a standard sport bra. But here's the great part: it's a nursing bra in disguise. It includes two drop cups with easy-open buckles that you can unsnap with one hand. And when you're finished nursing, you just resnap. No messing with complicated buttons or straps, which will help you get to your workout faster.
And by purchasing a LLLI bra, you'll also support the organization's efforts, with a portion of all proceeds going to its programs and services.
The bra is made from 58 percent polyester, 32 percent cotton and 10 percent spandex with nylon and spandex side panels. It has a waffle-mesh design for support. Like most nursing bras, it must be handwashed.
The Pull Over Sport Bra is available in sizes small (A) through 3X (DDD). Available in colors gray or white. Price is $29. To find a retail location or to purchase the bra and find other LLLI gear, visit www.llliclothes.com.
