Alpha Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International has announced the recipients of 2012-2013 Literacy Grants.
All teachers in Dallas County were eligible to apply for up to $125 for supplies that would help them further literacy in their classrooms.
Winners of $125 were Jodi Swett of Grandview School in the Woodward- Granger School District and Stephanie Schultes of South Prairie School in the Dallas Center-Grimes School District.
Winners of $30 were Stephanie Riesberg of Waukee Middle School and kindergarten teachers, Cassie Baker, Jen Johnson, Barb Mullenbach, Sara Schrodt, and Linda Warman of Brookview Elementary all from the Waukee School District. Lindsey Updike and Carla Creswell of Perry Elementary School in the Perry District were also winners of $30.
The Personal Growth and Services committee comprised of Sue Leslie, Barb Burket, Julie Spellman, and Nancy Burrow, promotes this service project through Alpha Gamma Chapter which is made up of women educators who live or work in Dallas County.
The chapter strives to promote the professional and personal growth of women educators as well as to promote excellence in education.
