Jan. 12, 2002 - TV host/comedian/writer Conan O'Brien and Liza Powel, in Seattle. Powel and O'Brien met in 2000 when she appeared on his show in a skit about advertising. Conan and Liza became engaged in July 2001. The couple married in an afternoon ceremony at St. James Cathedral. The bride wore a white Vera Wang empire-wasted gown which was covered by a lace floor-length coat. Their wedding reception was at Union Station in Seattle. The couple has a daughter and son together.

Jan. 12, 1979 - Actress Nancy Allen and director Brian DePalma. Allen met DePalma when she read for a part in his biggest hit, "Carrie," in 1975. Nancy also starred in several of DePalma's films. The couple divorced in 1983.

Jan. 12, 1963 - Actor Bob Newhart and Virginia Quinn. Newhart was introduced to Quinn by comedian Buddy Hackett. The couple has four children and several grandchildren.

Jan. 13, 1958 - Actress Jayne Mansfield and actor/bodybuilder Mickey Hargitay, in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. Mansfield and Hargitay married at the Wayfarers Chapel. The unique glass chapel made public and press viewing of the wedding much easier. Mansfield wore a transparent wedding gown, adding to the occasion's publicity aspect. They divorced in May of 1963.

Jan. 14, 1954 - Actress Marilyn Monroe and baseball star Joe DiMaggio, in San Francisco. Monroe and DiMaggio married in a judge's chambers at San Francisco City Hall with only six witnesses present. Monroe filed for divorce 9 months after their wedding.

Jan. 15, 2011 - PGA golfer Hunter Mahan and cheerleader Kandi Harris, in Coleyville, Texas. The golfer and former Dallas Cowboys' cheerleader wed at Piazza in the Village just outside of Dallas. Harris walked down the aisle in a strapless dress with silver embroidery and blue Manolo Blahnik shoes. She carried a bouquet of white and yellow roses wrapped in silk. Mahan wore a black Tom Ford tuxedo and plaid scarf. A seven-tiered wedding cake was served along with a "Kandi Bar" filled with different types of candies and sweets. The newlyweds were showered with bubbles as they departed in a classic Rolls Royce at the end of the evening.

Jan. 16, 1999 - Actor Steve Burton and model Sheree Gustin, in Dana Point, Calif. The couple exchanged vows in a church overlooking the Pacific Ocean, surrounded by many of Burton's "General Hospital" cast mates, including Kimberly McCullough, Anthony Geary, Tyler Christopher and Rebecca Herbst. There were white lights in the trees and white roses everywhere. There was a five-piece orchestra with two singers and four trumpet players. They have a daughter, Makena Grace Burton, and a son, Jack Marshall Burton.

Jan. 17, 2009 - Actor Parminder Nagra and photographer James Stenson, in Los Angeles. An intimate Sikh ceremony was held at the couple's home in Los Angeles. Later that day, additional guests joined them at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills for a civil ceremony, officiated by "ER" costar Maura Tierney, and a party. A single peacock feather was placed with the menu at each setting. Illuminating candles cast a warm glow over the reception tables, which were dressed in beaded linens and topped with rose-filled centerpieces. In addition to hiring Bollywood Step Dance to perform at the reception, Nagra and Stenson did a choreographed number of their own.

Jan. 18, 1969 - Actress Audrey Hepburn and psychiatrist Andrea Dotti, in Morges, Switzerland. Hepburn wore a simple pink wool dress and matching scarf designed by her friend, Hubert de Givenchy. For their wedding flowers, Hepburn chose freesia and lily-of-the-valley.

Jan. 19, 1963 - Frankie Avalon and Kathryn "Kay" J. Richards Diebel, in North Hollywood, Calif. Avalon and Diebel were married at St. Charles Catholic Church. The matron of honor was Kay's sister Gretchen Wayne. The best man was Robert Marcucci, Frankie's manager. They had about 25 guests at their wedding.

Jan. 20, 2001 - Actors Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli, in Montecito, Calif. The "Beverly Hills, 90210" star married "Twilight" actor Peter Facinelli in front of 210 guests at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. The bride wore a Reem Acra ivory silk, off-the-shoulder, silver-embroidered gown. The groom donned a black Armani tuxedo. The couple's three-year-old daughter, Luca Bella Facinelli, served as flower girl and wore a white cap-sleeve dress by Reem Acra. Following the ceremony, guests retreated to the Bacara Resort and Spa for the reception.
